Our data processing in connection with our Facebook corporate page is carried out in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in public relations and communication.

Representation of Contents

Whenever SecondSol content contains personal data (e.g., names or photos), we generally inform the respective data subjects about the publication and processing on this page at the time of data collection and, if necessary, obtain consent from the data subject (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TTDSG). If this is not the case, we process the personal data of the respective user for the operation of this presence. We process this data based on our predominant legitimate interest in providing relevant content to our users and followers on the Facebook platform and enabling them to use our Facebook page and its functionalities (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

User Communication

Information that users provide to us in direct messages via the Facebook page (e.g., username, name, profile picture, contact details, or a message to us - "message data") is processed in order to effectively handle the user's request or to communicate with the user in this regard. The legal basis for data processing is then Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

SecondSol stores the message data for as long as it is necessary for communication purposes. Furthermore, we will only store your message data for the purpose of pursuing or defending against legal claims or to fulfill any legal retention obligations.

We process all community functions in order to provide users with the community functions as intended. Without this data, we are unable to provide you with the corresponding community functions. The legal basis for processing is our overriding legitimate interest in providing you and other users of our fan page with your content and the fan page and its functionalities (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We process your personal data only for as long as necessary, usually as long as we operate our fan page or as long as your active action on our fan page is active. Furthermore, we will only store your community data for the purpose of pursuing or defending against legal claims or to fulfill any legal retention obligations.

Regarding the so-called "Page Insights data" (hereinafter "Facebook Insights"), Facebook assumes significant responsibilities based on this agreement, particularly regarding informing data subjects and safeguarding their rights.

We use the "Facebook Insights" functions provided by Facebook on our Facebook and Instagram pages to obtain anonymized statistical data about the usage and visitors of our Facebook and Instagram pages. Through "Facebook Insights," we receive information about the usage of our Facebook and Instagram pages, including anonymized visitor profiles, demographic, and geographic evaluations.
